Anthony's coal fired pizza started as a family dream on the streets of Plantation, Florida. Founder Anthony built the first coal fired oven by hand, determined to recreate the authentic Neapolitan-style crust that had defined his childhood memories. The intense heat of coal — reaching over 800°F — gives our pizzas their signature char, their unmatched chew, and a depth of flavor no conventional oven can replicate.

Over two decades, anthony's pizza has grown from a neighborhood gem into a beloved institution across South Florida. Our menu reflects an unwavering commitment to quality ingredients — hand-crushed San Marzano tomatoes, fresh-pulled mozzarella, and dough that ferments slowly for 48 hours before it ever touches the oven floor.

The First Flame

Anthony hand-built the first coal fired oven at 512 N Pine Island Rd, Plantation, FL. The doors opened to a line that wrapped around the block on opening night — and never really shortened since.

2007
Anthony's Coal Fired Recognition

South Florida Food & Wine named Anthony's coal fired pizza the Best Pizza in Broward County. The award put us on the regional map and tripled our weekly reservations overnight.

Catering & Events Launch

We expanded our anthonys coal fired experience beyond restaurant walls, launching a full-service catering division. Today we serve weddings, corporate events, and private parties across South Florida.
